Healthy Land.
Healthy Bees.
Healthy Honey.
The Apiary
Our bees don't travel.
They live and forage here in the foothills of Central Washington, surrounded by 100 acres of native
grasses, wildflowers, trees, and seasonal blooms.
It's honey that truly reflects the place we call home.
As Local as Honey Gets.
Our bees forage among many of the same grasses, trees, wildflowers, and native plants that fill the air with pollen throughout our region.
For those who intentionally seek out local honey because of its connection to their local environment and seasonal pollen, it doesn't get much more local than this.
Our honey is a direct reflection of the foothills where it's produced - changing subtly in color and flavor depending on what's blooming each season.
Our bees forage across 100 acres managed without conventional herbicides, insecticides, or pesticides.
We also intentionally plant native and regionally adapted flowers with overlapping bloom times, creating a continuous source of diverse forage from spring through fall.
We don't simply keep bees on the ranch. We're intentionally building a ranch that's good for bees.
Buy Honey
Harvested from our permanent foothill apiaries in Central Washington, our raw honey reflects the changing seasons and diverse native wildflowers that surround the ranch. Each small batch is extracted with care to preserve its natural flavor, color, and beneficial properties.
1 Quart Jar - $35
Pint Jar - $18
Half Pint - $10
Thoughtfully Managed
Healthy bees require responsible care, including monitoring for Varroa mites. We intentionally harvest the honey destined for our jars before our seasonal mite-treatment period, separating our honey harvest from the products used later to protect the health of our colonies.
Our Hives Stay Home
Unlike migratory commercial hives that may travel from one agricultural crop to another, our bees remain at Balsamroot Ranch.
We don't send them south to almond orchards or move them into large monoculture fields. Here, they forage naturally across a diverse foothill landscape and follow the rhythm of our Central Washington seasons.
Healthy bees. Healthy land.
From Hive to Jar each batch of Balsamroot Ranch honey is hand-harvested in small quantities, processed and bottled right
here at the ranch. No chasing uniformity. No mass production.
Just pure, seasonal honey that reflects our bees, our land, and our foothills.
Raised here. Foraged here. Harvested here.
